Catherine J. Rezak, Chairman of the Board
Catherine (Cathy) Rezak, with partner Raymond Green, founded Paradigm Learning in 1994. Paradigm Learning is an employee training and communications organization, specializing in the use of innovative "discovery learning" techniques to design business games, simulations and Discovery Maps® programs to educate learners around critical business issues.
As chairman, she is involved in a variety of projects, most notably in the areas of new product development, marketing and client relations.
Over the years, Cathy has led the development of Paradigm's innovative employee learning programs: Zodiak®: The Game of Business Finance and Strategy; Mosaic: The Art of Talent Leadership®; Neon Buzz®: Lighting Up Organizational Performance; Countdown®: A Strategy Game for Project Teams; Impact5®: The Business of Leadership Game; Right Turns: Change in Action®; and FastMaps™.
She is a frequent speaker at corporate learning events, including the American Society of Training and Development's annual conferences. She has appeared on CNN Financial News and has had articles published in such journals as Strategic Communication Management, The Journal of Organizational Excellence and Project Management Network.
Cathy has accepted numerous awards on behalf of Paradigm Learning. Most recently, she received the 2007 Thought Leadership Award from ISA - The Association of Learning Providers. This award is given for demonstrating “out-of-the-box” concepts, ideas, products, and/or services that have helped to promote organizational training. ISA recognizes those whose body of work in support of organizational learning and corporate performance has significantly influenced people and companies. Other awards Cathy has received include a New Venture Award from Success Magazine, the President's Leadership Award from the Florida Council on Economic Education and the 2001 Business of the Year Award from ISA.
In 2003, she was elected President of ISA. The organization focuses exclusively on the issues and needs of executives in the training industry.
Cathy has more than 25 years of experience in the human resource consulting and training field, having worked with Fortune 500 clients around such issues as employee selection, leader assessment, management training, employee development, project management, customer service, financial literacy, team effectiveness and change management.
Cathy is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati's School of Education. Cathy also enjoys writing, traveling, kayaking and scuba diving.
