Overview

Impact5 is a sophisticated and engaging leadership simulation that provides a framework for focus and decision-making. In the program, participants discover what their organizations really need from them as they balance short- and long-term priorities, address talent issues and ethical challenges, and drive change. Impact5 builds the critical thinking skills that today's leaders need to impact their companies financial, customer, and organizational results.

Experience

Working in small teams, participants take on the role of leaders at a fictitious company. They struggle with talent issues, make complex decisions about interdepartmental relationships, and balance the tactical with the strategic. They get blindsided, regroup, analyze, and act. Participants are engaged from start to finish as they discover how their decisions and actions affect the bottom line and how their behaviors, as part of the organization’s collective leadership team, impact the ultimate success.

 

Learning Outcomes

After experiencing Impact 5: The Business of Leadership Game, participants will:

  • Understand the five Business Impact Accountabilities™:
    1. Achieve measurable results aligned with organizational goals
    2. Champion change to drive innovation, creativity, and growth
    3. Influence the business across organizational boundaries
    4. Engage, develop and leverage diverse talent
    5. Take action to become an effective, resilient and trusted leader
  • Know the importance of balancing the short-term and long-term as well as the tactical and strategic.
  • Exercise the power of collaboration and communication as members of a collective leadership team

With these new insights and skills, they are better able to focus their attention on conducting a broader and more targeted analysis of leadership decisions.

Leadership Portal

Leadership Portal

With fresh insights from the simulation, participants will receive access to a Leadership Portal designed to drive actions and behaviors long after the session concludes. Participants will gain unlimited access to a dynamic library of resources, including Critical Thinking Guides, team exercises, and Tips & Traps on each Business Impact Accountability. Participants may also retake the Leadership Focus Self-Assessment at various points throughout their leadership careers and use the Decision Impact Analysis Tool to vet the potential consequences of their decisions on the organization, their team, customers, and other areas of the business.
